Why human review matters
Reliable GHG reporting depends on more than calculations. Reporting quality also depends on operational boundaries, methodology consistency, complete activity data, documented assumptions, and audit-supporting evidence. SmartFenek combines structured reporting tools with experienced human review support to help organisations prepare more defensible reporting outputs.

Frequently asked questions
Who is SmartFenek built for?
UAE-based businesses whose customers, auditors, investors, or tenders are asking for emissions data. Typically mid-market companies in manufacturing, logistics, hospitality, construction, and professional services.
Do I have to comply with UAE climate law?
Under Cabinet Resolution 67/2024, mandatory GHG reporting currently applies to "Entities of Huge Carbon Emission" (HCEE) — the designation threshold varies by emirate and sector, with Abu Dhabi (EAD) operating a separate facility-level programme from MOCCAE's federal HCEE designation. Most SMEs and mid-market businesses are not in mandatory scope. However, many still need GHG data to respond to customer and investor requests, tender requirements, or internal ESG commitments. SmartFenek supports both mandatory reporters and voluntary disclosers. Run the eligibility check on the homepage for your specific situation — this is general information, not legal advice.
Is SmartFenek an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) for e-invoicing?
No. SmartFenek is not accredited under Ministerial Decision 64/2025. We're currently focused on GHG reporting; our E-Invoicing Readiness module will launch ahead of the 1 July 2027 SME deadline. Join the waitlist at /e-invoicing.
Where is my data stored?
Your compliance records — GHG inventories, invoices, audit trails, user accounts — are stored on servers in Dubai (Equinix DX1, UAE). Documents you upload for AI-assisted extraction briefly transit to Anthropic servers in the US during processing, disclosed in our privacy policy. Manual entry keeps all your data in the UAE.
Per-emirate GHG compliance check — Abu Dhabi (EAD facility-level MRV) and federal MOCCAE (Cabinet Resolution 67/2024)
Answer three questions for a high-level estimate. Final determination is with MOCCAE or EAD.
Where are your operating facilities?
If you have facilities in multiple emirates, pick the one with the largest emissions footprint. You can re-run this check for other locations.
